Official royal wedding photos: Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and the stunning family pictures

Stunning group photographs of the royal family on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding day were revealed to the public today.

The new Duke and Duchess of Sussex were captured surrounded by their closest family in one beautiful image.

In another the royal couple sit among the adorable pageboys and bridesmaids that accompanied Meghan down the aisle during the extraordinary ceremony.

The pictures were taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski, a protege of photographer Mario Testino, and show the royal family gathered in the Green Drawing Room of Windsor Castle.

The royal couple

Prince Harry

The new Duke of Sussex was the groom on May 19 and married former Suits actress Meghan Markle nearly two years after meeting.

He is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales, and the late Diana, Princess of Wales, and is sixth-in-line to the throne.

Meghan Markle

The bride is the new Duchess of Sussex after marrying into the British Royal Family on May 19.

The former actress from Los Angeles had been dating Prince Harry for approximately one year and a half before they became engaged in November 2016.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall

The second wife to Prince Charles, the heir apparent to the British throne.

Camilla assists the Prince of Wales on his official duties and is also the patron, president and a member of numerous charities and organisations.

Prince of Wales

The heir apparent to the British throne is the eldest child of Queen Elizabeth II and has been the Duke of Cornwall since 1952.

He is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history and is Prince Harry’s father.

Doria Ragland

Mother of the bride, the new Duchess of Sussex, Ms Ragland is a yoga instructor and social worker who lives in Los Angeles.

She was married to Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, after meeting in 1979, but they later divorced in 1988.

The Duke of Cambridge

The second heir apparent to the throne, Prince William is the groom’s elder brother and is married to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, with whom he has three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Also known as Kate Middleton, she is the wife of Prince William, who is expected to become king one day.

The couple met while studying at University of St Andrews, and have three children.

Duke of Edinburgh

The husband and consort to the Queen was born into the Greek and Danish royal families.

He was in the British Royal Navy from 1939 until 1952 when Elizabeth became monarch and is Prince Harry’s grandfather.

The Queen

Elizabeth II is Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms and is the longest-lived and longest-reigning British monarch.

She is the grandmother of Prince Harry.

Princess Charlotte

The second and only daughter of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The three-year-old is fourth in line of the succession to the British throne, and her uncle is Prince Harry.

Rylan Litt

The seven-year-old is Meghan’s goddaughter. Her younger sister Remi was also a bridesmaid at the royal wedding.

Her mother Benita, a brand curator, is one of the bride’s closest friends – with the former Suits actress spending Christmas 2016 with the family.

Meghan’s goddaughter is seven years old.

Her mother is Benita, a close friend of the bride’s, and is based in California with her husband Darren Litt.

Twin brother to John, the seven-year-old is the son of Jessica and Ben Mulroney.

The four-year-old bridesmaid is the younger sister of twins Brian and John, and the only daughter of Jessica and Ben Mulroney.

Florence van Cutsem

The goddaughter of Prince Harry is three years old and the daughter of Nicholas and Alice van Cutsem – who are very close friends of both Harry and William.

Mr van Cutsem is an international business developer based in London and has known the prince since childhood.

Zalie Warren

Prince Harry’s goddaughter, two, was the youngest bridesmaid to be featured in the royal wedding and is the daughter of Jake Warren, son of the Queen’s racing manager John Warren.
