A police e-fit of a wanted man showing only his eyes has been mocked online with people comparing it to a “ninja”.

Suffolk police posted the artist’s impression - which shows a hooded man - on its Facebook page earlier this week after a man was threatened with a knife in Little Wrattling on Saturday.

But Facebook users criticised the image describing it as a “ninja” and “Darth Vader”.

One person wrote: “A man with eyes... Not too many of them around.”

The police defended the move, saying e-fits were “helpful” and said some people have come forward since the appeal.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his late 30s to early 40s, around 5ft 10in tall, of skinny build with blonde hair.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said: “The victim was able to describe in detail the offender’s eyes, style of cap, hooded top and scarf worn across his face.”
