MI5 is recruiting lawyers to work with the security service on top secret cases.

Security chiefs have put an advert in legal magazine Counsel for lawyers comfortable working with "highly sensitive information".

The job is listed under the heading: "Terrorism, Espionage, Cyber Attacks, Sabotage - Not Your Average Caseload."

The central London-based position promises to be “stimulating, challenging [and] varied".

"With legal challenges covering the full range of MI5's investigative and operational activities, you'll need to be quick-thinking, versatile and comfortable working with high sensitive information,” reads the advert.

It comes as a High Court prepares to rule on whether three terror suspects should have their movements restricted at the request of the Home Office.

Mr Justice Nicol is considering arguments relating to the men, all thought to be Muslim, at a hearing in London and has heard evidence from MI5.

Restrictions can be placed on terror suspects under the 2011 Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Measures Act but ministers need a judge's permission to impose them.
