Meghan Markle’s estranged half-sister has waded into the row over rough sleepers in Windsor claiming they should be treated to a steak dinner on the day of the Royal wedding.

Samantha Markle, 53, who has repeatedly ranted about not being invited to the nuptials, said that homeless people should be able to meet with housing representatives in a "tented area" in Windsor on May 19.

She tweeted: “For the Royal wedding, instead of shuffling homeless people to the outskirts of Windsor, there should be a tented area with steak dinners, music, job corps and housing representatives, set up to improve their lives.

“Homeless people are human. Treat them with dignity. Namaste."

Her comments come after the leader of the Tory council Simon Dudley sparked a row by calling for rough sleepers to be removed from the streets of the town before the Royal wedding.

Mr Dudley survived a vote of no confidence from his Conservative colleagues after he urged police to take action against rough sleepers in a letter. He said that "beggars could show the borough in an unfavourable light” on the couple's big day.

Ms Markle's tweet sparked a debate among social media users, with one person saying that the big day was about Prince Harry and Ms Markle and not homeless people.

She replied: “It’s a day that the world is celebrating in a beautiful event that should not exclude homeless people that it would be a great day from great Britain to change the direction of that as well as other things”.

Another user asked her: “Is it at ALL possible that you could be happy for your sister?”

She said in response: “Of course I’m happy for her, but I would hope that you are intelligent enough to notice that I was not talking about her,I was talking about the story I heard that homeless people moved to the outskirts during the wedding. Use your brain and separate issues if possible”.

The couple, who are set to wed on Saturday May 19 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, have invited 600 guests to the ceremony and 2,640 members of the public to the grounds of the castle.

MS sufferer Ms Markle previously blasted the bride-to-be for not receiving an invite to the wedding.

She accused the couple of inviting “complete strangers” and claimed “no one” from the Markle family had made the coveted guest list.

Venting her fury on Twitter, she wrote in April: “Out of respect and humanitarianism, the Markles should be invited if 2,000 complete strangers are.

“Our uncle, brother, me, best friend of 30 years, nephews. Our issue is not a matter of closeness. Family is family.”

The former Suits actress, 36, has invited her parents Thomas Markle and Doria Radlan, to her nuptials later this month. It has not been confirmed who will walk her down the aisle.

The sisters, who share the same father, are 17 years apart in age and are estranged.

Ms Markle, who lives in Florida, has been then most vocal member of the Markle family to date after speaker about her sister to the press.

In one interview with the Australian TV show A Current Affair, Ms Markle accused her sister of not using her financial resources to help their father, who reportedly declared bankruptcy in 2016.

She said: "Honestly what she could spend in a weekend would greatly help Dad, so that should be a priority.”

She first hit out at her half-sibling after her romance with Prince Harry was revealed in November 2016.

Ms Markle said that her sister had always fancied Harry because she was ambitious to become a princess and had a “soft spot for gingers.” She also called her a “social climber”.
