American businesswoman Jennifer Arcuri will give her first TV interview on Good Morning Britain, Piers Morgan has revealed.

The tech entrepreneur, who lives in Los Angeles, will appear live on air on Monday in a “world exclusive”, the show’s host announced on Twitter.

Ms Arcuri, 34, has spent the past week embroiled in a public scandal over her friendship with Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

She has insisted that any suggestions she and the PM had an affair are “bulls***” and she is the victim of an “orchestrated attack”.

Her comments came after it emerged that her firm Innotech had been awarded grants of £126,000 in public money.

The Greater London Authority (GLA) said it was investigating allegations Ms Arcuri received favourable treatment because of her relationship with Mr Johnson while he was serving as Mayor of London.

Mr Johnson denies any wrongdoing but has not rejected accusations that the pair had a sexual relationship.

He has until Tuesday to respond to a summons from the London assembly to provide details of his involvement with Ms Arcuri, the Guardian has reported.

The chair of the GLA’s oversight committee Len Duvall wrote to Mr Johnson on September 24 giving him two weeks to provide information about the relationship, according to the paper.

Failure to comply could see him forced to hand over any private text messages and emails he sent to Ms Arcuri or face prison.

It comes as the Sunday Times revealed details of a 2012 reference letter sent by the then Mayor of London.

In it, Mr Johnson recommends his friend for a £100,000-a-year-job as chief technology quango Tech City, for which she was “woefully underqualified”, the paper states.

Ms Arcuri was a 27-year-old student when Johnson is said to have endorsed her for the post, which was intended for “proven business leaders”.

She reportedly later wrote of the episode: “I still have the letter of rec from Boris. Hahaha. To think that we asked him to write us a recommendation for the CEO of Tech City is just hysterical.”
