The boyfriend of Gogglebox star Ellie Warner is fighting for his life after he was hit by a car

Ellie Warner will step back from her regular scenes on Gogglebox this week after her boyfriend was left fighting for life after being hit by a car.

West Yorkshire police confirmed that Nat Eddleston, Miss Warner’s partner, is in a “critical but stable condition” after the incident.

He reportedly suffered from a broken neck, two collapsed lungs and possible brain damage.

The 31-year-old’s boyfriend was reported to have been struck by a car shortly after midnight in Halton, Leeds – where the road was cordoned off on Saturday morning.

The hairdresser has appeared on the Channel 4 show since 2015 alongside her sister Izzi.

Over the pandemic sister Izzi took a short break in 2020 and Ellie’s boyfriend Nat briefly replaced her on the sofa.

Early appearances on the show were filmed in Yorkshire at their family home, but have since moved to a new living room setting.

It has not been confirmed whether Izzi will appear on the Gogglebox episode airing this Friday.

An outpouring of support has flooded the hairdresser’s Instagram page, with many fans sending “thoughts and prayers”.

One user said: “Hey girly, you keep those thoughts positive. I broke my back and neck in 5 places and I’m up and about. Nat’s absolutely got this!!”
