Chocolate giant Cadbury is recalling Easter eggs because they have the wrong nut allergy labelling.
The company is to release adverts on Sunday alerting customers to the recall of selected Easter eggs, Mini Creme Eggs and Easter Chicks with Buttons.
The recall comes just two months after the company announced last year's salmonella scare cost it £30 million.
The eggs are being recalled from the shelves because they are unsafe for people with nut allergies and have not been correctly labelled.
The products are still "perfectly safe" for those without a nut allergy and no other Cadbury products are affected, the company said on Saturday.
In a statement on the adverts, Cadbury says: "The above Easter products may contain traces of nuts. As a precaution, we advise nut allergy sufferers not to eat any of the above Easter products until they either call the helpline number or log on to the website below for further information."
Asked how many products were involved, Cadbury spokesman Tony Bilsborough said: "I could not put a figure on it. A lot of products will be in store already but also, because we are talking about Easter eggs, some won't be out there yet."
He later estimated the number of eggs recalled was likely to be in the thousands rather than the millions because the problem had only affected specific product lines.
"It is not all of these lines but some in specific batches," Mr Bilsborough said.
"They were particular batches of chocolate made on a line that also makes products with nuts in them, therefore there is a small risk and we felt it was at least important that we let nut allergy sufferers know about it because you cannot be too careful," he added.
