Boyle may return to Talent line-up

12 April 2012

Organisers of the Britain's Got Talent live show are hoping Susan Boyle will be fit enough to return to the tour.

The 48-year Scottish singer withdrew from the third date of the tour in Manchester after she was advised to rest.

She is due to perform on Monday night in her home country at Glasgow SECC but doubts remain about her state of health following her meteoric rise to stardom.

Concert-goers at the Manchester Evening News Arena on Sunday night were greeted at the venue with notices announcing Boyle would not perform at either of the scheduled matinee or evening shows.

A spokesperson for Boyle said: "Following three sensational performances, Susan Boyle has been advised to rest. She sends her sincere apologies to her fans for not appearing in Manchester."

The spokesperson stressed Boyle had not been ruled out of the rest of the 21-date tour across the UK and it was hoped she would return to the stage in Glasgow.

Asked about Boyle at the launch of Burger King's Flame fragrance on Monday, Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan said: "She's fine... she's 48 years old."

He said it was not like she was a 19-year-old dancer from Diversity.

Morgan added that Boyle had been pleasing crowds and "getting the roof ripped off" during her performances.

West Lothian church volunteer Boyle went from a quiet life to global fame after the video of her singing I Dreamed A Dream in her Britain's Got Talent audition was watched hundreds of millions of times on the internet.
