Matilda the Musical started its West End transfer at the Cambridge Theatre. Sheridan Smith hailed Tim Minchin, who wrote the music and lyrics for the Evening Standard Theatre Award-winning show, as a "genius". Smith, who also won an Evening Standard Theatre award for her role in Flare Path, said: "I'm a huge Tim Minchin fan, he is an absolute genius"
