Many people have had to adjust to home working during the lockdown, including Prince Charles who is spending it at his royal residence Birkhall on the Queen's Balmoral estate. The Prince of Wales has previously shared glimpses of what a royal day working from home looks like - from his DIY iPad stand to his Zoom set up - however it’s been revealed his desk is a bit of a mess.

Prince Charles joined Alan Titchmarsh for an interview with ClassicFM and ahead of it, the station’s parent company Global shared a picture of the royal at his desk on Twitter.

Prince Charles was seen with a new and improved iPad set up (complete with a tiny microphone) - however it was the mountains of scattered paperwork on his table that drew attention.

It was unclear what the papers were about, however there appeared to be no rhyme or reason to the papers all over his desk (with the text blurred out). Others hung haphazardly off a pile of books and there were also a number of family photos crammed into a corner of his desk, which included two pictures of his wife Camilla Parker-Bowles, a religious portrait and Clarence House-branded stationery.

There were also a number of family pictures lined up on a shelf nearby which showed his grandson Prince George in bright red shorts, as well as a painted rainbow picture - presumably in support of the NHS.

Prince Charles joined Titchmarsh to lend support classical music institutions, which have been hit hard as a result of the coronavirus. Saying that they had been hit by “terrible difficulties”, he continued, “It is a very expensive art form, but it is crucial because it has such a worldwide impact.”

"We have to find a way to make sure these marvellous people and organisations are going to survive through all this."

Prince Charles has a number of royal patronages to his name revolving around the arts, which include the Royal Opera House, the Welsh National Opera Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra and more.

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall have been self-isolating in Birkhall, which is housed on the estate of Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

Other royals have chosen to see out the pandemic period in residences located in more isolated areas, with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip leaving their home Buckingham Palace in favour of Windsor Castle as Prince William and Kate Middleton have moved their family from Kensington Palace to Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
