Footage of a woman reacting to Theresa May’s decision to call a snap General Election has left viewers in stitches.
In an interview with BBC News, the woman named Brenda, from Bristol, expresses her outrage after she is told of plans for an election on June 8.
She proclaims: “You’re joking? Not another one. Oh for god’s sake, I can’t stand this.
“There’s too much politics going on at the moment. Why does she need to do it?”
The footage was posted on Twitter by BBC Breakfast presenter and correspondent Jon Kay with the caption: "Watch Brenda's reaction when I tell her that the PM wants a General Election.
"Safe to say she's not impressed."
It sparked a flurry of reaction on social media with many people saying that Brenda “speaks for the nation”.
Shon Faye wrote: "WE ARE ALL BRENDA FROM BRISTOL."

Mrs May announced plans to call a general election during a statement outside Downing Street on Tuesday morning.
The PM had previously claimed she would not call voters back to the ballot box before 2020.
She will require the support of two-thirds of MPs to go to the country, with a vote scheduled in the Commons on Wednesday.
