Theresa May's future as Prime Minister continues to come under the spotlight ahead of another crunch week in Westminster.

With the Commons due to vote on an amendment which would force a series of indicative votes on alternatives to the PM's withdrawal agreement, the coming days could be crucial in determining a way forward for Brexit.

Defeat for the Government on Monday night on the plan, which is being tabled by former ministers Sir Oliver Letwin and Dominic Grieve and Labour MP Hilary Benn, would be a further humiliation for Mrs May, and could pave the way for her departure.

It comes after an estimated one million people took to the streets of central London on Saturday, demanding the pubic have a final say on Brexit.

So what can we expect during the coming days?

Monday March 25

Mrs May will convene her cabinet on Monday morning before updating the Commons on the Brexit process following last week's European Council summit, where she agreed to delay Britain's departure beyond March 29.

Parliament will then debate an amendable Government motion on the Brexit deal, which gives MPs a chance to put their favoured outcomes to a vote.

A proposal backed by Sir Oliver Letwin, Dominic Grieve and Hilary Benn, seeks to pave the way for a series of "indicative votes" in the Commons on Wednesday, effectively taking control of the Brexit process out of the hands of the Government.

Mrs May could table secondary legislation which must go through the Commons and Lords by Friday to remove the date of March 29 from Brexit legislation.

Downing Street says that no date has yet been fixed for the vote, which must come by the end of the week.

Wednesday March 27

MPs led by Sir Oliver will hope to seize control of parliamentary time to force votes on Brexit options on Wednesday.

Mrs May will also face Prime Minister's Questions.

Friday is no longer Brexit day, with EU leaders having offered to delay the departure until April 12 if MPs do not back Mrs May's deal, or until May 22 if they do.
