No Spice Girls but at least Naomi Campbell is paying respects

Will the girls who once embodied “girl power” be among Nelson Mandela’s mourners? Despite reports today that the Spice Girls will be attending the former South African president’s state funeral, spokesmen for both Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton (Posh and Baby Spice) have denied the story. “I don’t know why the Telegraph are reporting that because as far as I am aware they aren’t going,” said Bunton’s spokesman.

Luckily at least one of Mandela’s glamorous British admirers will be there to say her goodbyes. Naomi Campbell’s people tell me that the supermodel “has flown out, is in South Africa now and will attend the funeral.”
