Alan Davies, who plays Jonathan Creek, solved the Sherlock mystery for the Londoner back in March. “I know how he got away with it,” Davies told us.

“We did a similar thing in Jonathan Creek when someone jumped off a roof at a party.” In the episode Davies refers to, The Problem at Gallows Gate, a character uses accomplices, bogus medics and a safety net to fake a death leap. Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sherlock was revealed to have pulled off a similar feat but with a couple of extra crucial props, including a latex mask and a squash ball. Even famous detectives can’t spot everything.
