Denise Van Outen was at The Arts Theatre in Leicester Square last night for a gala performance of Some Girl I Used to Know, a one-woman show that the actress co-wrote. “With any acting you have to draw on your experiences,” she told us. “There is already a lot of me in the story... but obviously I won’t say which parts.”

The Londoner didn’t press the topic for fear of blushing. During the performance Denise tells a story about taking vengeance against her boyfriend’s snobby mother by using her facecloth to clean a more private body part. As the audience laughed, Van Outen looked to a pal in the front row and appeared to mouth, “That one’s true.”
