Another chapter for Lord Coe

It has been an undeniably good year for Lord Coe but last night he took a break from Olympic debriefings to host Journey to 2012, a fundraiser at The Dorchester for the PSP Association, which raises funds for progressive supranuclear palsy, the rare disease Coe’s mother died of in 2005.

Among the guests were singer Emeli Sandé, Sir Michael Parkinson and Sir Philip Green.

Lord Coe is putting the final touches to his memoir. “My dad used to tease me about autobiographies because most people in sport churn them out young. He would describe them as ‘from the cradle to the shave’ books.”
