An incredible journey with poetry

Actor Simon Williams was onstage at the Bush Theatre reading works from the latest Forward Poetry Prize including poems by his brother, Hugo Williams. His latest collection, From the Dialysis, Ward, is based on his experiences of kidney failure. “He’s been on an incredible journey,” said Simon. “He’s not scared of the needles any more now, he’s just bored of the dialysis. I think the next collection will be lighter. Writing is part of the cure.”
