Labour's Lord Sugar is forever fulminating against privilege and those who are brought up with a silver spoon in their mouths. In his demotic calls for a meritocracy, Lord Sugar even outdoes that other class warrior, Lord Prescott.

But what is this? News reports today identify the chief executive of Lord Sugar’s company Amscreen (which wants to install face-scanning cameras at branches of Tesco) as being none other than the Hon Simon Sugar, son of his lordship. Meanwhile, John Prescott continues to try to find openings for his son David, who failed to become MP for his father’s old seat.
