The huge behind the scenes effort that went into an audacious loop-the-loop bicycle stunt has been revealed on film.

A video shows how the custom-built ramp took a team of 25 eight days to construct before stunt rider Danny MacAskill pulled off the feat in the shadow of the London Eye.

The loop tackled by Danny - who has featured in a host of stunt films - was the height of four cars stacked on top of each other and was built from 120 tonnes of wood and metal.

The incredible video shows a tug boat's fast-forwarded journey up the Thames under 10 bridges from east London to Westminster pier where a floating island was installed.

The meticulous preparation ultimately saw the 28-year-old Scot pull off the breathtaking stunt in spectacular style under London's night sky.

Footage of the stunt itself now has close to 1.5million views on YouTube.
