This was the moment a cyclist was knocked over by a cab driver after trying to undertake him in north west London.

The crash occurred as the taxi turned left into a side street on Edgware Road - but thankfully the rider escaped without injury.

It was filmed by YouTube user Daz Lin, who was cycling behind the victim with a camera strapped to his helmet.

Sharing the video online, he said: "A scary moment from my morning commute. Could have ended a lot worse.

"Nobody seemed hurt and both parties dealt with the situation...with a handshake."

He added the warning: "Cyclists and drivers lookout for each other on the road!"

In the footage, the cyclist is seen dusting himself off after the crash and shaking the cab driver's hand. He then remounts his bike and continues his journey.

YouTube users were split as to who was to blame for the crash, which happened in May this year.

Some suggested the taxi driver was late to indicate, while others said the cyclist was at fault for attempting to undertake the vehicle.

One person wrote: "That was the taxi at fault. He did not start indicating until the cyclist was already passing him."

Sam Mouzer said: "The taxi may of indicated late.... but the cyclist was undertaking."

Meanwhile, John Ledi said: "Both at fault, undertaking is illegal, and the driver did not check his mirror."
