A street artist has daubed an Islington wall with an image of Theresa May waltzing with Donald Trump - labelling it “Lie Lie Land”.
The graffiti artist, known as Bambi, took aim at Mrs May as she unveiled her latest anti-Trump sketch, inspired by the Bafta award winning film La La Land, in Cross Street.
But instead of Hollywood stars Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling dancing with one another, the Prime Minister is seen jiving with Mr Trump.
Since the piece was uploaded to Facebook on Wednesday, more than 1,800 people have 'liked' it while nearly 5,000 users have shared it.
One man joked: "Are they Putin on the Ritz?"
Speaking to the Huffington Post, Bambi said she decided to spray the sketch after seeing film posters plastered across the capital with a strong performance anticipated at next week’s 89th Academy Awards.
She said: “A happy couple dancing without a care in the world, this film was released during a dark political time in our world.”
Bambi previously sketched a mocked up image of the Statue of Liberty in Ivor Street, Camden, days after President Trump was inaugurated and called it “Make America Sane Again”.
On Tuesday, the Government officially rejected calls for Donald Trump’s state visit to be cancelled, despite a petition signed by 1.85 million people.
Theresa May revealed Mr Trump had been invited on a state visit to Britain last month which led to criticism of the Prime Minister that the offer was given too soon into his already highly controversial presidency.
