Michael Winner’s former Kensington home has been bought by a secret buyer for an estimated £50 million.

A deal is believed to have been reached for Woodland House, the 46-room property of the late film director and restaurant critic. But no sale can be completed until probate is granted on his estate. Winner died almost three months ago aged 77.

Lawyers are refusing to reveal the identity of the buyer, who will have to pay at least another £15 million to extend the lease which expires in 32 years.
