The stunning piece is part of the gallery's new exhibition Post Pop: East Meets West, which aims to explore the legacy of Pop Art.

It includes work by more than 100 artists from China, the former Soviet Union, Taiwan, the UK and the USA.

A gallery spokesman said: "Given the global energy being enjoyed by contemporary art, this exhibition aims to make audiences more aware of Pop Art as a major influence on current art practice."
