Star Wars Stormtroopers were pictured descending on London on Thursday to celebrate the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Shocked Londoners looked on in awe as the group invaded the capital Thursday morning.

The pack were photographed descending the escalators at Canary Wharf underground station, which features in the new star wars film.

They were also pictured crossing the Millennium Bridge with St Paul’s Cathedral and the Shard in the background.

The pack of a dozen or so Stormtroopers, dressed in their white suits, were led by an imperial officer of the Galactic Empire who was dressed in black.

Londoners took to social media to express their shock.

Tracy Laverack wrote on Twitter: “OMG! Not who I expected to see on my way to work!! #stormtroopers #starwars #RogueOne #London”

Tammy Stopps wrote: “Only in #London would you run into a group of #stormtroopers literally run. #StarWarsRogueOne”

While Antoniya Kuneva posted: “Just some fellow commuters on the way to the pub.”
