Heartwarming video debunks stereotype of cold, selfish Londoners

Londoners did not live up to their reputation.

The stereotype of self-involved and uncaring Londoners appears to have been debunked in a heartwarming new video.

Entitled ‘Are Londoners Horrible?’, it was filmed by Action for Happiness, a movement which aims to create a more caring society.

It tests the kindness of the capital's residents with three scenarios. In one an elderly lady struggles with a suitcase and in another a man relies on conscientious passengers waking him up in time for his stop.

The third situation confronts Londoners with a woman whose shopping bags have split.

Happily, members of the public captured in the video defy the cold-hearted stereotype, by stepping up to the plate and helping those in need without hesitation.

The Good Samaritans are quickly rewarded for their kind-hearted actions, in the form of a serenade by an undercover A Cappella choir.

Founder and Producer, Henry Hitchcox said: "We see this film as an advert for kindness, and our aim is to continue making similar meaningful videos that are capable of bringing about a positive change in the world.

"To help fund these films we’ll also be producing content for like minded ethical companies, products, and events. Essentially we just want to work on stuff that feels right."
