Police are appealing for witnesses after a man assaulted three women while his friend filmed on a mobile phone in a busy train station.

A woman with a back condition was thrown to the floor during the attacks which took place in Euston Station on November 15 at around 9.30pm.

The station was busy at the time with people returning home after watching England play Slovenia.

British Transport Police said the man, who was sitting with three other men, threw himself onto the floor in front of a woman and tried to grab her ankles.

Police appeal: officers are trying to trace this man

He attempted to grab another woman and seized her legs, causing her to fall over.

The other men sat laughing and the man threw himself on the floor in front of a third woman, knocking her to the floor, as his friend filmed on his phone.

Police believe the men then boarded the 9.43pm train travelling to Wolverhampton, which stopped at Watford, Milton Keynes, Rugby, Coventry, Birmingham New Street and Dudley.

A CCTV image has been released of a man officers wish to speak to in connection with the attacks.

PC Stuart Morishita Dubois said: “The third victim suffers from sciatica and back pain, and these conditions were aggravated by the assault. She was also left with neck and knee pain and visited hospital.

“The man involved may have thought his actions were funny, but for the victims these were frightening assaults which could have resulted in serious injury.

“I believe the man in the images we are issuing has information about these assaults.”
