Tributes were today paid to a six-year-old schoolgirl who was knocked down and killed by her mother in a “terrible” parking accident.

She went into cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.

Bolutito’s younger sibling was cared for by police at the scene as medics battled to save her life.

The ballet-loving child’s devastated family today paid tribute to their “beautiful girl”.

The family, who live in Hayes in west London, said: “Bolutito was our eldest daughter and no-one could have asked for a better daughter.

“She was a beautiful, well behaved, girl who loved ballet and who will be sorely missed by all of us.

“This is an extremely upsetting time for us and we ask that we be given the respect and space to grieve and to come to terms with this terrible accident.”

British Transport Police confirmed the girl’s mother has not been arrested.

Witnesses told the Standard that the girl’s distressed mother was “waving her hands around” and “shouting” after the accident at 9.40am.

Street cleaner Mohan Kumar Rai, 54, said: “I arrived just after 9.45am and there was a small child on the floor and paramedics were giving her CPR.

“Two police officers were playing with a younger child, maybe three or four years olf. They came and sat by the child and were playing with a little ball to distract her.

“A lady was shouting and waving her hands about. She was very upset.

“Police told everyone to get out of the car park. There were quite a few people standing around by that time.”

An air ambulance landed in the grounds of the car park but Bolutito was taken to St Mary’s Hospital, in Paddington, by a road ambulance.

One woman, who did not want to be named, said: “No one knew what happened at the start. But when we found out from the police it was horrible. I feel terrible for the lady.”

BTP Detective Chief Inspector Iain Miller said: “Shortly before 9.40am on Wednesday we were called to Hounslow West London Underground station following reports of a serious collision in the car park.

'Beautiful girl': Bolutito's family paid tribute to her today

“Our officers attended, alongside colleagues from the Metropolitan Police Service and London Ambulance Service, and discovered a child - a six-year-old girl - had sustained fatal injuries having been struck by a car being driven by her mother.

“It is clear that both mother and child arrived together in the car park and the accident occurred during a parking manoeuvre.

“Officers and medics tried to resuscitate the girl, but she was pronounced dead at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington.

“Specialist officers are now providing full support to the girl’s family whilst detectives are working to determine exactly how the incident occurred.”

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40.
