The ex-wife of a property tycoon who died after plunging from the fourth floor of his London penthouse has revealed she is in talks to make an "explosive" film about his life.

Scot Young's former wife Michelle is set to discuss plans for the biopic with Hollywood studio bosses, after the millionaire died aged 52 in a fall from his Marylebone flat in December last year.

An inquest last month found there was insufficient evidence to support a verdict of suicide despite evidence that Mr Young, who amassed a fortune of £400million, telephoned his former fiancée Noelle Reno moments before the fall to tell her he was about to jump. Dr Shirley Radcliffe recorded a narrative verdict.

But Michelle, who divorced Mr Young in 2013 after an eight-year court battle, has said "the truth" is yet to come out about his death.

She told the Daily Mail: "I am meeting people from Hollywood next week. There is a film in the works. I’m keeping quiet about everything at this stage."

She added: "You don’t know the half of what happened; the truth hasn’t come out yet — it’s pretty explosive."

In the interview, she went on to insist that her former husband "would never have even leaned out of a window" because he had a "terrible phobia of heights". She added she had not yet decided which high-profile actress she would want to play her in the film.

There have been suggestions that tycoon Mr Young, who was a fixer for Russian oligarchs, may have been killed after hiding money for Russian mafia. He once claimed he lost his fortune after investing in property development Project Moscow, the details of which remain unclear.

Friends previously said police should investigate if he was part of a “ring of death” linked to the Turkish or Russian mafia. Four friends linked to business deals in Russia died in circumstances that have not been fully explained.

Mr Young, who suffered from bipolar, was discharged from a psychiatric unit on the day of his death after a drug-fuelled breakdown. The inquest into his death heard he had delusions that his fiancée, Ms Reno, was part of a plot to kill him.

A lawyer representing Mr Young's daughters Sasha, 20, and Scarlet, 22, told Westminster coroner’s court that they believed he could have been thrown from his flat by an attacker, saying: "They believe there is foul play".
