Brian Blessed to feature on Tube tannoys for Remembrance Day 2015

Brian Blessed, Arsene Wenger and Danny Dyer are among the stars voicing charity appeal messages on the Tube for Remembrance Day this year.

Some of the UK's top actors, comedians and sports stars will be heard at Tube stations encouraging commuters to donate to the Royal British Legion on Thursday for London Poppy Day.

Actress Barbara Windsor and radio DJ Trevor Nelson will also feature

Meanwhile Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger can be heard making his plea for donations at stations around the Emirates, while Tottenham striker Harry Kane's message will be played at stations around White Hart Lane.

Stations including King's Cross, Canary Wharf, Tottenham Court Road and Liverpool Street will also be decorated with the poppy appeal logo to highlight the campaign, while two Circle line trains will be decorated in poppy livery.

Military bands were seen entertaining commuters at Liverpool Street station as part of the charity appeal on Thursday.

Mike Brown, London's Transport Commissioner, said: `We are proud to support The Royal British Legion's annual London Poppy Day appeal in honour of the 4,500 transport workers, and all others from across the country, who have given their lives in both World Wars and other conflicts.

Charles Byrne, fundraising director for The Royal British Legion, said: "From the uniformed collectors stationed across the city to the volunteers and musicians, we're grateful to Londoners for getting in the spirit of the day and showing their support to the Armed Forces community."
