'Boris Johnson' gets hands dirty after chain snaps on his hire bike

Repairs: a Boris Johnson lookalike fixes his bike

'Boris Johnson' found himself in a spot of bother as he returned to work after the festive break when the chain snapped off one of his flagship bikes.

The London Mayor - or someone closely resembling him - got his hands dirty in his office as he repaired his Boris Bike after his morning commute yesterday.

In a picture mocked up by Alison Jackson, the lookalike is seen grappling with a broken chain on one of the hired bikes - complete with a smattering of oil on his face.

The picture is part of a project run in partnership with Kleenex, which sees "everyday moments" when people are caught out without a tissue documented in mocked up images.

Mr Johnson's mucky face is shown as part of the campaign asking the nation: "Where's your Kleenex when you need it?"
