Lindsay Watling4 November 2013

Plans for thousands of performances and exhibitions to mark the First World War’s centenary are unveiled today.

Four years of events will be held from next year. The programme is being co-ordinated by the First World War Centenary Partnership, a network led by the Imperial War Museum, which will open its First World War Galleries in summer.

Productions will include Lest We Forget, choreographed for the English National Ballet, at the Barbican in April. Oh, What A Lovely War! starring Caroline Quentin, will be staged at Theatre Royal Stratford East.
