A man has been charged with murder after a young father was stabbed to death in south London.
Jude Gayle, 30, died after being knifed yards from his home in a low-rise housing estate in West Norwood.
Detectives investigating his murder have now charged Tarelle Bishop, 23, of Dunelm Grove, West Norwood.
He will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Saturday, 30 September.
A 22-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday. He has been bailed pending further inquiries.
Mr Gayle suffered multiple stab wounds in the attack on Sunday, September 24, Scotland Yard said.
The fitness instructor lived with his two-year-old daughter near to where he was killed.
His brother Jayson told the Standard: “He was one of the most generous people I have ever known.
“Now he has a two-year-old daughter that he won’t see grow up — that’s was all he ever wanted to do.
“He was so family-focused, always organising day trips. It’s devastating. His family will have to walk past the spot he was killed every day, it has shaken the community.”
A Met Police spokesman said: “Detectives from the Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating and enquiries continue.”
