Police have released images of men they want to speak to after a gang robbed a family using machetes at a property in Walthamstow.

Eight men entered the family home on Brookscroft Road and threatened the four people inside with weapons.

The group was able to fight back, causing the suspects to leave empty handed.

During the struggle two of the victims received minor injuries. They were both taken to hospital before later being discharged.

Police have linked the gang to an aggravated burglary at a nightclub in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex on the same night.

PC David Havard said: "This was a terrifying experience for the family involved and we are committed to tracking down those who carried out this awful crime.

"As part of our enquiries we can now share images of men who we want to speak to.

"I would ask anybody who recognises the men in these images to contact police immediately."
