Police today released an E-fit image of an airline stowaway who fell to his death from a plane arriving at Heathrow airport.

The man, whose body was found in the street in Mortlake by horrified residents, is thought to have plunged to the ground when the plane lowered its undercarriage on its approach to the airport.

Police believe the man may be Angolan because he had Angolan currency on him and they believe he fell from a flight arriving from the country’s capital Luanda.

Scotland Yard released an e-fit image of the man today after inquiries in Britain and Angola failed to identify him.

Police also released an image of a distinctive tattoo on his forearm.

The man was described as aged between 20 and 30 years old, 5 feet 4 inches tall and of slight build.

He was wearing jeans, a grey hoody and white trainers.

Police said they were called to reports of a man’s body lying in the street in Portman Avenue, Mortlake at 7.55am on Sunday September 9.
