Dramatic CCTV shows the moment a mob of youths launched a volley of fireworks at a passing police car.

The vehicle was bombarded in an attack by a gang of youths at a housing estate in east London on November 2.

CCTV which emerged online today shows a gang of around 15 youths brandishing rockets in the street before lighting them and levelling them at the police vehicle on patrol.

The group of hooded youths were carrying armfuls of fireworks in the incident on Bruce Road, Bow.

The police car and street furniture were damaged following the incident, police said.
