A teenage couple who led a £1 million robbery gang behind 46 ram raids on West End designer stores were facing jail today.

Steven Dedman and Lizzy Andrews were 18 when their gang rode motorbikes to target Anya Hindmarch bag boutiques, Christian Dior, Spanish fashion house Loewe, and the Apple Store in Covent Garden, among others.

Sledgehammers and crowbars were taken on raids and the gang sometimes claimed to have knives, in a six-month spree in 2011.

Police found a cake, a gift from Andrews, iced with a motorcyclist, Louis Vuitton handbags, and the words “Happy Birthday Steven” at Dedman’s Bloomsbury home.

Dedman, 20, was found guilty last month of robbery. He admitted conspiracy to commit burglary and being present at nine raids. Andrews, 19, from Clerkenwell, admitted conspiracy. They were being sentenced at Southwark crown court along with five other men in connection with the raids.
