The Met police has made an appeal for help to identify a man following a number of unprovoked assaults in Stamford Hill.

Police have released an image of a man they are seeking after three assaults.

Officers said a man had been making his way to his synagogue about 8.30pm last Wednesday when “he was struck in a random assault”. The brutal assault can be seen on CCTV released by police.

The man suffered facial injuries and fell to the ground, breaking his foot. He was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.

The assault is being treated as a hate crime.

Police are now linking the incident to two other assaults on the same day.

At 6.40pm a 30-year-old man was struck on the head with a bottle in Cavenove Road N16.

Then at 7.10pm a 14-year-old boy was walking in Holmdale Terrace N15 when he was approached and assaulted without warning.

Both of the victims were also Jewish. Their injuries are not life-threatening.

Officers have also been informed of a fourth victim who has yet to contact police who officers are still seeking.

Anyone who recognises the man, or who witnessed the assault and is yet to speak with officers, is asked to come forward.

Police have asked witnesses call 101 quoting reference 4492/20AUG. To remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
