A doctor will testify about the size of Max Clifford’s penis in a key detail of his defence case, his trial on indecent assault charges heard today.
The jury has heard from a string of women who claimed the celebrity agent had a “freakishly small” and “tiny” penis, and also one who said he was “very well endowed”.
Richard Horwell QC, defending, told Southwark crown court that medical evidence proved the women were lying. He said there were many holes in the prosecution case and “there is no better place to start than with the evidence concerning Mr Clifford’s penis.”
He said many of Clifford’s alleged victims had commented on the size. One described it as “a micro-penis” but another called it “enormous”. Mr Horwell said the defence would call a doctor who would confirm it was 5¼ins, not erect: “Certainly not freakishly small and certainly not enormous. Not one of those witnesses can be relied upon in this regard.
“If what they said happened did happen, it is not a mistake we suggest that could be made.” Clifford, of Hersham in Surrey, is accused of 11 counts of indecent assault against seven women and girls. He denies all the charges. The trial continues.
