This is the shocking moment a customer headbutts another man in the face during a brutal unprovoked assault at a busy central London pub.

The man, clad in a large dark-coloured jacket, seems to exchange words with his victim before launching his attack at the Slug and Lettuce pub in Borough High Street.

After the headbutt, he walks up the stairs, appearing to slam another punter into a wall while his injured victim staggers after him.

Police say the 28-year-old man suffered a facial injury, needing several stitches to a wound above his left eyebrow.
