This is the shocking moment a dangerous driver swerved into a cyclist and threw him from his bike in a road rage attack.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was left lying injured in the road following the crash in Colchester, Essex, on May 13 last year.

Dashboard camera footage recorded by another vehicle shows the victim struggling to stand before collapsing back onto the ground.

On Monday driver Ashley Wallace Merrett, 30, from West Bergholt, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, actual bodily harm and common assault.
