A businessman was found dead under the wheels of a car after a fight outside his west London restaurant, witnesses said today.

Police are investigating reports that Manmeet Singh, 44, above, was involved in a dispute with a motorist outside the Passage To India in Hounslow at 9pm on Saturday.

Diners described seeing legs beneath a Mercedes after shouts and screams were heard outside.

Paramedics battled to save Mr Singh but he was pronounced dead at the scene in Heston Road an hour later.

A man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed pending further inquiries.
