Rapper and Dancing on Ice star Lady Leshurr was due to appear at Thames magistrates’ court on Monday morning charged with assault.

Police were called out to reports of a fight in Knotts Green Mews, Walthamstow, on Saturday at 5.08am.

Two women, both aged 27, were taken to hospital and have been discharged, the Met said.

Leshurr, real name Melesha O’Garro, 34, was charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Sherelle Smith, 28, was charged with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The rapper was awarded the British Empire Medal in 2020 for services to music and charity. She hosts a revived version of Pimp My Ride for MTV and a weekly show on BBC Radio 1Xtra since December 2020.
