Police have launched an appeal after an “out of control” dog bit a train guard on a train to Paddington.

Officers said in a separate incident, the same dog bit a seven-year-old girl at Henley-on-Thames railway station.

In the most recent incident on a service from Frome to Paddington on October 27, a train guard was walking through the train when the dog jumped out of the seat and bit her arm.

In the second incident, the same dog bit the seven-year-old on July 14.

Police said they believe the man in the images may have information which could help their investigation.

If you recognise him, or have any information, officers ask you to contact the British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2200113224.

Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
