A murder investigation is underway after a man was stabbed to death in a car Newham.

Metropolitan Police officers and paramedics were called to reports of the attack at the east London junction of Victoria Avenue and Grangewood Street at 10.11pm on Saturday.

A man in his 20s was found with stab wounds and, despite the best efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene.

His family was still being informed on Sunday morning and a post-mortem examination is set to take place soon.

A man in his 40s has been arrested.

Anyone with information about what happened is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 7287/11Nov.
