The number of victims injured in an acid attack at an east London nightclub has risen to 16, police said on Tuesday.
A corrosive liquid was sprayed at two men, aged 24 and 29, in the packed Mangle basement club in Hackney early on Monday morning.
Alongside the two men, who have now been moved to a specialist burns unit in Essex with serious injuries, ten other people were discovered with minor burns.
And police said on Tuesday that a further four people had now come forward saying they were injured in the attack.
Among those injured was the cousin of ex-Premier League footballer Jamie O'Hara, who later described the incident as "sick".
The Only Way Is Essex stars Jamie Reed, Jade Lewis and Chloe Meadows were among those forced to leave the bank holiday LoveJuice event.
Australian models Isobella and Prue Fraser, who had been at the event, told the Standard it was a “miracle no one was killed”.
Prue, 20, said: “I saw two men walk in and you could tell they were looking for trouble. The attack seemed very targeted.
“I ended up in the middle of this fight and I was thrown over the barrier near the bar with all my stuff.
“Getting up I could feel my arm was burning. It was like boiling water had been poured over me but like I was cut as well. I have never experienced anything like it, it was excruciating.
“We saw six other girls who had it in their eyes, faces and chest areas they were screaming and crying.”
One witness described how the attacker had produced the bottle of acid when a bouncer attempted to kick him out.
"I was at the bar with friends and a guy was pushing some people around," clubber Scott Kempster, 25, told The Sun.
"A bouncer asked him to leave, but he grabbed his arm and pulled a bottle out of his pocket.
"He sprayed the bouncer and my friend and some girls got hit. At first everyone thought it was water, then people started running as they realised it was acid.
"The guy who threw it then started throwing other stuff before he ran off."
Hundreds of people were at the venue when the incident occurred, and roads were closed as emergency services, including a hazardous area response team, rushed to the scene.
Witnesses reported several victims were outside with burns across their bodies, while others were seen pouring water on what appeared to be an injured friend.
No one has been arrested over the attack so far.
