The victim, who is in his 20s, was found suffering from head injuries in Chandos Street at the junction with Cavendish Square, at 6.05am today, October 31.

The man said he had a gun pointed at him as an armed robber in a balaclava stole his watch and was assaulted as he attempted to retrieve it.

He was taken to a central London hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.

Police said the suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, about 5ft 5in tall and was wearing a heavy blue jumper, blue jeans and a black balaclava.

A suspected firearm has been recovered and enquiries are ongoing.

No arrests have been made.
