Man hospitalised with head injury after being attacked in Islington

A man was hospitalised with a head injury after he was attacked in Islington in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service to Upper Street shortly before 3am, and officers established that the man had been assaulted.

The man, who is in his 30s, had suffered a head injury.

He was taken to a north London hospital, where he remains in a stable condition, and his injuries are not life threatening.

Detectives from Islington CID are investigating, and no arrests have yet been made.
