A man and a woman have been arrested following the death of a 12-week-old baby 10 days after sustaining serious injuries.

The baby boy, from St Neots in Cambridgeshire, sustained the injuries on November 1 and died in Addenbrooke's Hospital on Monday.

Police have now launched an investigation, confirming the death is being treated as suspicious.

Cambridgeshire Police has not named the victim or released any details about those arrested.

A spokesman said: "A man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and have since been released on police bail until November 28."
