A man accused of trying to have sex with a sheep near Spurs new training ground was photographed next to the animal with underwear around his ankles, a court heard today.
Paul Lovell, 61, was spotted by a couple who were enjoying a picnic close to the state-of-the-art facility on Hotspur Way, Enfield, north London, on September 4, the court heard.
It is thought stars from the Premier League team were training at the centre at the time.
IT worker Lovell denied exposing his genitals and outraging public decency by ‘trying to commit a sex act with a sheep.’
Robert Hutchinson, prosecuting at Wood Green Crown Court, said there were photos of the alleged incident.
Wearing a green anorak and a shirt and tie, Lovell, of Enfield, north London sat in the dock during the 15 minute hearing.
He was released on bail on condition he does not return to Whitewebbs Lane or Archers Wood in Enfield, where it is claimed he was found behaving in an indecent manner.
Lovell will next appear at the court to stand trial on January 27.
