Man, 37, arrested in west London street on suspicion of encouraging terrorism

Counter terror detectives this morning arrested a man in a west London street.

The 37-year-old is being held on suspicion of the encouragement of terrorism after being arrested at around 11am, Scotland Yard said.

He is in custody at a central London police station as officers continue their enquiries.

Police added he was being detained under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
